Two New Relative Efficiencies of Linear Weighted Regression

چکیده
In statistics parameter theory, usually the parameter estimations have two kinds, one is the least-square estimation(LSE),and the other is the best linear unbiased estimation (BLUE).Due to the determining theorem of minimum variance unbiased estimator(MVUE),the parameter estimation of BLUE in linear model is most ideal. But since the calculations are complicated or the covariance is not given, people are hardly to get the solution. Therefore people prefer to use LSE rather than BLUE.And this substitution will take some losses. To quantize the losses, many scholars have presented many kinds of different relative efficiencies in different views. For the linear weighted regression model, this paper discusses the relative efficiencies of LSE of β to BLUE of β. It also defines two new relative efficiencies and gives their lower bounds. Keywords—Linear weighted regression, Relative efficiency, Lower bound, Parameter estimation

New Approach in Fitting Linear Regression Models with the Aim of Improving Accuracy and Power
The main contribution of this work lies in challenging the common practice of inferential statistics in the realm of simple linear regression for attaining a higher degree of accuracy when multiple observations are available, at least, at one level of the regressor variable. We derive sufficient conditions under which one can improve the accuracy of the interval estimations at quite affordable ...
متن کاملSome properties of relative efficiency of estimators in a two linear regression equations system with identical parameter vectors
Two normal linear models with some of the parameters identical are discussed in this article. We introduce four relative efficiencies to define the efficiency of estimator in two linear regression equations system with identical parameter vectors, also we give the lower and upper bounds of the four relative efficiencies.
متن کاملA new approach to rank the decision making units in presence of infeasibility in intuitionistic fuzzy environment
Data envelopment analysis (DEA) is a linear programming based methodology to determine the relative performance efficiencies of homogeneous decision making units (DMUs). In real world applications, some input and output datas do not possess crisp/fuzzy essence but they possess intuitionistic fuzzy (IF) essence. So, in this study, we develop an IF BCC (IFBCC) and an IF super efficiency BCC (IFSE...
متن کاملProposed new signal for real-time stress monitoring: Combination of physiological measures
Human stress is a physiological tension that appears when a person responds to mental, emotional, or physical chal-lenges. Detecting human stress and developing methods to manage it, has become an important issue nowadays. Au-tomatic stress detection through physiological signals may be a useful method for solving this problem. In most of the earlier studies, long-term time window was considere...
متن کاملA WEIGHTED LINEAR REGRESSION MODEL FOR IMPERCISE RESPONSE
A weighted linear regression model with impercise response and p-real explanatory variables is analyzed. The LR fuzzy random variable is introduced and a metric is suggested for coping with this kind of variables. A least square solution for estimating the parameters of the model is derived. The result are illustrated by the means of some case studies.
